The ingredients needed to make Homemade Coleslaw:
- Prepare 1 small “ head” White Cabbage
- Prepare 2 large Onions
- Prepare 200 Grams Carrots
- Prepare Cup Sweetcorn (fresh or frozen)
- Take Cup Peas (fresh or frozen)
- Get Cup Mixed Sweet Peppers(Fresh /Frozen)
- Get 600 Grams Mayonnaise (Heinz is best!)
- Get Black Pepper
Steps to make Homemade Coleslaw:
- Wash, then cut the cabbage into quarters. Remove center stalk. Slice and dice into small pieces. Place in a large bowl.
- Peel Carrots, slice lengthways, then dice into small pieces. Add to bowl
- Peel, slice and dice Onions. Add to bowl.
- Cut the Sweet Peppers into small pieces, add to bowl.
- Add Peas and Sweetcorn. Add a good dollop of Mayonnaise and mix well.
- Add a sprinkle of Black Pepper, mix again, adding enough Mayonnaise until everything is coated but not swamped.
- Enjoy! Use within a week, or the Mayonnaise will go runny. Awesome for BBQ’s!!
