- Pour yeast into the oat mixture. Add 2 cups of flour. Mix well. Stir in remaining flour half cup at a time. When dough has pulled together. Turn it on lightly floured surface and knead until smooth about 20 minutes. I left the mixer do the work. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise in a warm place until doubled. About 1 hour.
- Deflate dough. Turn it out onto lightly floured surface. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Form into loaves. Place loaves into a lightly greased 9x5" loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled in volume. About 40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350º. Bake for about 30 minutes. Until top is golden Brown. Remove loaves from pan. Brush loaves with 2 Tbsp. Honey. Then sprinkle with couple oats on top.
I made it into two very large sandwich bread loaves. The result a very soft light well textured sandwich bread. Pour the yeast mixture into the oat mixture. If you don't have a thermometer, slide the bread out of its pan and tap its bottom with your fingers. Bake a loaf of homemade bread to make your lunch sandwiches taste better than ever.
