Steps to make Red Coconut Chutney:
- Take tomatoes onions and garlic ginger.
- Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan. Roast both daals until pink. Add garlic ginger and cook for 1 min. Add in tomatoes and onions. Saute until soft and mushy. Cool down completely.
- Take coriander and half Curry leaves.
- Take sauted mixture into mixer jar. Add in curd, coriander,half Curry leaves, dessicated coconut, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to taste. Grind well to a smooth paste.
- Take chutey in a bowl.. heat up a tempering pan. Add in 2 tsp ghhe. Add mustard cumin seeds. Add asafoetida and remaining curry leaves. Add this tempering to chutney.
- Red coconut Chutney is ready to be served. You can serve this with Dosa, appam.
