Instructions to make Red-heart Cookies:
- In a bowl add aata/maida, baking powder and salt and give it a mix and cover it and keep it aside.
- Now in another bowl add ghee and powdered sugar and whisk it until it becomes light and fluffy.
- Now add this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix them well to form a dough. Now divide the dough into two parts I.e 40:60 percent.
- In the smaller dough add a pinch of red food colour and mix it well.
- Now with the small dough make the dough shape as in image 1. Wrap it in that way and keep it in a refrigerator for 15 mins. Now remove it from the refrigerator.
- Roll the white dough as shown in the image below. And wrap it above the red dough and seal all the sides and again keep it in fridge again for 15 mins.
- Now place a kadai for pre-heating. Grease a plate with some oil/ghee. Remove it from the fridge and cut it with half inch thinkness and place them over the plate or baking tray and bake them in a low flame for about 25 mins.
- Serve them after 15 mins., once removed from kadai.
