The ingredients needed to make Shito stew:
- Take chili flakes
- Take large sized onion
- Make ready ginger(blended)
- Prepare Garlic(optional)
- Prepare seasoning

Steps to make Shito stew:
- Using mortar and pestle beat your cloves and ginger together until soft or use your grinder and grind it to smaller particles
- Add in your chili flakes and continue beating (the chili flakes should not be too soft)
- Add your sliced onion inside and continue beating until it softens, add fried iced fish and beat it but not too far
- Until it look like this
- Heat oil in a pot
- Add the mixture when hot
- Add seasoning
- Stir fry for 15-20 minutes
- Or until it looks brown in colour
- And tanaaaaa here it is
- I served it with rice and beans and its very delicious and simple
- Note: the idea for putting much oil is so that it will not burn when frying and you will be able to keep it for at least 1 week before it get spoiled

Shito is a Ghanaian sauce which I literally use for everything since I started making it. I could say with confidence that Shito is to Ghanaians what Agoyin sauce is to Nigerians.
