- Get 7 . Bay leaf - 1

- Get 1 . Roasted cashews - 1/4 cup
- Prepare 2 . Fried onion - 1 tbsp
Steps to make Ghee Rice:

- Wash basmathi rice thoroughly and soak in water for about 20 minutes. Exactly 20 minutes not more than that. Drain the water and keep aside. - 2. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in pan add cinnamon, cumin, cardamon, clove and bay leaves. Once it start to fry add thinly sliced onion. Saute nicely and add salt.

- Add this to rice. Add 1.5 cups of water cook in cooker until done. I use rice cooker.. You can do it in pressure cooker as well. Mind the whistle count. If you are not using any cooker just add rice to 2 cups of boiling water and cook untill all the water evaporates. - 4. Garnish with roasted cashews and fried onion.
